Question of priorities

This is regarding Ahmed Dosari's 'Olympics fascinating'.

Medals in the Olympics require skill and opportunity. We Indians have to fend for ourselves and our families and then if there is time, look at sport.

This is where countries with smaller populations have an edge, where resources can be focused on a few, or like China, where the state takes care of everything.

Is it a surprise that with the advent of the free market, Russia and the erstwhile East Germany lost their edge? However, this is something which is beyond you judging from the cheap shots you seemingly like to take.

Maybe, you could enlighten us why you people have been unable to earn any medals for your country despite the fact that all your needs are met by the government and facilities are for the asking?
