This is with regard to Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. What exactly is it?

I have been doing business for some time and find that the business environment here has become tougher than ever before - the LMRA, Labour Ministry, SIO, Ports, Commerce and Industry Ministry, banks, Tender Board,etc.

I was under the impression that new developments/projects will be awarded to local companies to help them recover from the economic crisis which has adversely affected them in the past few years.

Unfortunately, majority of developments/projects are either awarded to or under negotiations with foreign firms.

Is it not unfair to local firms striving and suffering losses and yet are loyal to the kingdom, trying to revive the economy by not closing down or transferring their assets elsewhere?

It will be an immense pleasure if the same could be expected from authorities to help boost local businesses. Ahmed Okal
