WORKS Minister Essam Khalaf met MP Mohammed Salim Bu Qais, who represents District 8 in the Northern Governorate, and discussed ways of implementing projects and services.

Present was assistant under-secretary for roads Huda Fakhro.

The minister lauded the MP's efforts and concern towards answering the needs and requirements of residents in District 8.

He also praised the important and positive role of MPs in communicating residents' requests to the ministry, which is always keen to provide high quality services to the people of Bahrain, as a leading organisation responsible for providing quality infrastructure services.

Mr Bu Qais highlighted the needs in District 8 at the Northern Governorate, which included providing proper parking lot close to the Al Nazha Primary School for Girls and the Isa Ali Mosque in Roundabout 19 in Hamad Town. He also requested revamping Roundabout 22 intersection with the Bahrain University and setting up a number of speed humps on some roads in the district.

The minister highlighted the steps taken to develop Hamad Town and improve its infrastructure and road projects.
