We refer to 'Firms face fines for flouting work ban' (GDN, August 6).
Nass Corporation welcomes any media coverage which highlights the poor treatment of workers in the construction sector, in particular the lack of adherence to summer working hours rules.
We are disappointed, however, to note that your newspaper included a library picture alongside the article that showed labour and plant and equipment depicting our company logo.
If your staff had checked the facts, you would know that no Nass Group companies have been fined by the Labour Ministry for flouting the ban.
We can confirm that none of our workers work between noon and 4pm during July and August and our record of taking care of our employees in terms of their health, safety and working conditions is exemplary.
