PRESIDENT of the General Organization for Youth and Sports Hisham Mohammed Jowder said that the true relationship between the Goys and national clubs is based on partnership, integration and opening up wider prospects of organised work, which maximises the role of the clubs as active national institutions in supporting the Bahraini youth.
He noted that Goys has put in mind supporting clubs in accordance to a methodology compatible with the roles assigned to them and in line with the directives of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Al Jowder stressed at the same time the Goys keenness to visit national clubs and meet their board of directors in order to identify their future needs and work with them in order to improve the sports movement in the Kingdom.
He praised the huge follow-up by Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa to Bahraini Clubs and their interest in providing the right environment to embrace their sporting talents.
This came during a visit by Al Jowder to Budaiya Club, where he was received by club chairman Walid Al Dossary, parliament member Hassan Salem Al Dossary, Municipal Council member Jassim Jaber Al Dossary and Bahrain Swimming Association vice President Khalid Rabia.
The visit was also witnessed by Goys Director General of Youth and Sports Affairs Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, director of clubs affairs Shaikh Abdullah bin Nizar Al Khalifa and director of facilities and projects Khalid Al Hajj.
During the visit, Al Jowder discussed the renovation of the club's office building, being supervised by Goys.
He was also briefed on the progress of work on the investment project of the club and is within the Board of Directors' plans to improve its sporting teams in various disciplines.
Al Jowder also witnessed part of the sports activities at the club towards the end of the visit, where he received a commemorative gift from the club Board of Directors.
