I remember reading about the ongoing issue of employers confiscating their employees' passports.

However, it seems that no action has been taken regarding this issue. It is prevalent not only in private companies but surprisingly in certain government offices too! This has to be stopped!

It is against our rights for employers to confiscate our passports. Passports are the property of the owner and should be kept with them at all times (as is written clearly in Indian passports).

We Indians would be greatly relieved if the embassy would consider this matter seriously and approach the government to bring strict laws regarding this violation of human rights and punish culprits.
