MANAMA: Cluttons, the real estate specialist in Bahrain, has launched a power saving initiative for the portfolio of commercial properties under its management.
The firm's decision to move towards a greener path is a response to the Electricity and Water Authority's power saving campaign - Save so as to Sustain.
The technology used is a voltage regulator. It is effective in enhancing the fullest utilisation of the power transmitted to operate chiller and air-conditioning equipment.
This has the effect of reducing costs and extending the life of equipment, whilst also saving power and reducing carbon emissions. The technology has previously been introduced successfully in other Middle Eastern countries and is now being introduced in Bahrain. To-date, the equipment has been installed in one of Cluttons- managed commercial buildings in the Diplomatic Area, with many other commercial clients showing great interest in it for their buildings.
