HIS Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday met the Amir of Kuwait, Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, as part of his Ramadan visit.

Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Prime Minister Shaikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah and senior officials attended.

HRH the Premier was welcomed at Kuwait International Airport by Shaikh Jaber, his deputies, senior officials and Bahrain's ambassador.

He said he was delighted to visit Kuwait and described it as part of regular meetings to bolster relations. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad and Shaikh Sabah for their resolve to strengthen relations.

"This visit comes amid regional and global challenges and changes," he said, highlighting the importance of stepping up bilateral and GCC consultation. He extended greetings from Bahrain, its leadership and people to Kuwaiti people, hailing deep-rooted historic relations, common destiny and goals bonding both countries. Later HRH the Premier returned home.
