MINISTER of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa instructed Bahrain's embassy in the United Kingdom to provide support to ensure the success of the Bahraini athletes taking part in the London Olympics, led by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports president and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The minister expressed his delight at the Bahraini participation as he received BOC chief executive Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and general secretary Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The BOC officials briefed the minister on Bahrain's participation at the Olympics. It is the largest since their debut in the 1984 Los Angeles Games. The minister wished the Bahraini athletes success in the upcoming event.
