HIS Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday slammed attempts to undermine Bahrain's progress.
He said the government remained committed to national development as he met senior officials.
"The popular and official determination will abort all attempts to jeopardise Bahrain's economic and political gains," he added.
Direct contact between the different segments of the Bahraini society and citizens' deep-rooted values of tolerance and peaceful co-existence will foil attempts to create divisions, he said.
He highlighted the importance of co-operation between the government and National Assembly to improve people's welfare. He said co-operation between constitutional institutions and the private sector has yielded landmark achievements in all fields and earned Bahrain prestigious status globally, as revealed by indices published by international organisations.
He praised financial institutions and banks for contributing to economic growth and said the solid economic base, anchored by the government and supported by its policy of openness, distinguished Bahrain's ties with countries across the world.
