This concerns "Tribal Attitude" by Margaret Murphy, (GDN, June 11).

Enterprise turns bankrupt, managers jailed, workers not paid. Sad, but how, pray, does that make Bahrain a tribal society? Where is the logic? Or is this an old prejudice that's showing itself, Ms Murphy??

There was a story about England recently, where a kid was egged on by bystanders to jump off a bridge and commit suicide with comments like let's see how far you bounce etc. Does that make England a land of savages? I am assuming you are English by your name, so do you wear grass skirts and drink the blood of your enemies? Do some voodoo perhaps?

You are not from here, why can you not be a gracious guest? I have met a lot of English people, they have normally been extremely nice, open people except for a couple of pompous old prats.

So please do yourself and your country people a favour, keep your prejudices to yourself and save your vitriol for when you go back.
