TICKETS have gone on sale for the Bahrain Summer Festival, which starts at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC), Sanabis, on Thursday.
The month-long Manama the City of Joy event will feature various international performances that aim to cater to all tastes.
It will start with the Russian theatrical performance Slava's Snow Show at 7pm, with a repeat performance on June 19.
Other shows will include the Wooden Circus by Czech Republic-based Karromato, a concert by Turkish performer Omar Faruk, entertainment from Saudi rapper Qusai in collaboration with Bahrainis DJ Outlaw and Flipperachi, a concert by nine-year-old Bahraini singer Hala Al Turk and the family favourite The Sound of Music play.
The Culture Ministry yesterday said ticket prices would range from BD2 to BD10 and the public have been urged to reserve their tickets as soon as possible.
Children's educational and entertainment activities at Nakhool City will be free of charge and they will take place at BIECC, daily from 2pm to 7pm.
