A PHOTOGRAPHY exhibition about a journey throughout the Arab world opened last night at the Centre Culturel Franco-Bahre•nien La Maison Jamsheer, Muharraq,
Monde Arabe, Singulier and Pluriel by French photographer Arnaud Humbert will be on display until June 8 at the show, organised by Alliance Franaise Bahrain and Bahraini-French Cultural Centre.
The exhibition, produced in Dubai in partnership with Alliance Franaise Dubai, covers the uniqueness and diversity of the region with images from the UAE, Lebanon, Syria, Lybia and Iraq.
With 36 photographs, Mr Humbert illustrates the complexity of the Arab world, which resembles a mosaic rather than a monolithic world.
The exhibition aims to illustrate a constant quest for a balance between identity and the mirage of a unified world.
The centre is open from 9am to 1pm, 3pm to 9pm from Sunday to Thursday, and on Friday from 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm.
