THE body of an Eker worksite accident victim was repatriated to his home in Pakistan's North West Frointer Province yesterday.

Gul Faraz Ajab Gul, 32, died along with Bahraini Ali Abdulla Hassan Nasser and Indian Vasu Pillai Vijayan, 54, after they inhaled poisonous methane gas while working at an underground sewer on Monday.

Scores of people attended funeral prayers for Mr Gul before his body was taken to the airport.

Mr Gul, from Pukhtunkhwa (formerly the Northwest Frontier Province), came to Bahrain seven years ago and is survived by a wife and four children.
