PUPILS are being invited to visit the new Bahrain Science Centre in Isa Town, which opened in March.
The centre has six interactive exhibition galleries, an auditorium, four laboratories and a cafŽ and shop.
It is open to children as well as families with the aim to promote cross-generational learning between children and their parents and grandparents. It is under the umbrella of the Human Rights and Social Development Ministry.
"Bahrain Science Centre provides a platform for young people to enjoy science through interactive exhibits, exchange ideas," said Human Rights and Social Development Ministry community development assistant under-secretary Khalid Ishaq.
Facility
"It is an interactive educational facility that targets children, youth and families of Bahrain.
"We are delighted with the success of the school groups till date and hope to see it as a thriving venue for innovative learning through workshops and events."
The centre aims to promote awareness of the importance of science and technology, complement the school curriculum, stimulate curiosity and innovation and create a forum for public debate on science and technology issues.
It is located in a three-storey building at 697 Riyadh Avenue, Isa Town, near the Salmabad intersection.
