Can anyone comment on the validity of online education degrees?

Here the issue is that the junior school of one of the largest community schools recruited many teachers without a teaching degree and they were approached by a team of teachers who are trying to help them obtain the degree online by paying a fee of Rs 20,000 (BD140).

One of my friends who has been working there for more than nine years, is now trying to get the same through the so-called online business people. One of the teachers in the same division has been offered the certificate through an online process.

There is one question remaining, whether such degrees are approved by the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training. I went through their website and found few private schools with less than 1,000 students categorised as good, satisfactory and unsatisfactory. But I never found the name of the aforementioned community school's name there. I don't know whether they checked the school or quality of its teachers and their qualification. Are they going to verify those certificates with the concerned issuing authority?

If not, the online BEd will help hundreds of teachers working in that school. The head teacher, co-ordinators, all insisting them to take the same. I doubt if those experienced heads have the same degree. Otherwise how can they support it? Is the vice-principal helping them? Is there any agency benefiting from this? The authority of the school or the private education directorate should monitor such things to avoid the spread of such illicit degrees to protect the interest of the country and its people.
