I HAVE been using halogen light-bulbs in some of my lamps for the last two years, and have been finding that they burn out as quickly as or even faster than regular incandescent bulbs. I have used Philips, Toshiba and Osram.
All of the small ceiling lights have been lasting well beyond expectations, but these lamp bulbs claim to last three to five years and don't. They are from China and I have bought them from reputable grocery stores and the hardware store.
What I want to know is whether others have been experiencing the same thing and whether these bulbs might be fake ones or are halogen lights just not as good as they are supposed to be?
