THE British Embassy has been in negotiations with the government on behalf of Britons with travel bans and British Ambassador Iain Lindsay said he was delighted that an announcement had been made by authorities.

"I am delighted that the Bahraini authorities have agreed to allow travel ban Britons to be able to work while their cases are being resolved, and the embassy will continue to provide support for them.

"We will also continue to raise the issue of resolving the travel bans with the authorities.

"I encourage those British people who are restricted by travel bans and who have not informed the embassy of their cases to do so, in order for us to pass on their details to the authorities," said Mr Lindsay.
