HIS Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at Al Rawdha Palace.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty and president of Supreme Council for Women attended.
The King welcomed the Thai Premier and extended greetings to Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Thai Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, wishing Thai people further progress and prosperity.
He lauded outstanding relations bonding the two countries, stressing Bahrain's keenness on promoting economic, trade and investment co-operation.
He underscored the importance of exchanging business visits to bolster co-operation and stressed the need for the private sector to benefit from their knowhow in setting up joint ventures.
Ms Shinawatra expressed deep thanks and appreciation to the King for the warm welcome, stressing the importance of his recent visit to Thailand in promoting economic, trade and investment co-operation.
His Majesty later hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the Thai Premier and her accompanying delegation.
