Bahrain lads bow to Thais in Malaysia

BAHRAIN'S under-16 cricket team lost to Thailand by eighth wickets in the match to decide fifth and sixth positions in the ACC Under-16 Elite Cup 2012 in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Meanwhile, Oman beat Singapore by 61 runs in the match to decide third and fourth places.

Bahrain were bundled out for 71 in 20.5 overs after opting to bat first on winning the toss.

Kitanu Saekue, N Mayer and S Anand wrecked havoc on the Bahrain batting claiming three wickets each.

In reply, Thailand raced to victory in 18.3 overs with eight wickets to spare.

In the other match, Oman made 184 for nine and then bundled out Singapore for 123 in 28.2 overs.

Meanwhile, Nepal and Malaysia will clash in today's final.
