Riffa Club's role hailed

SUPREME Council for youth and sports general secretary Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has hailed Riffa Club's contributions to Bahrain football.

This came at his meeting with Riffa Club president Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa.

It was also attended by General Organisation for Youth and Sports (Goys) president Hisham Al Jowder, Goys director general Abdulrahman Askar, Riffa Club vice-president Shaikh Ziad bin Faisal Al Khalifa and club general secretary Abdulla Al Dosseri.

Shaikh Salman expressed his delight over the fruitful results of the meeting, noting that Shaikh Abdulla has proved his managerial competence in the local sports scene.

Shaikh Salman said Shaikh Abdulla plays a key role in the development process of Riffa Club, noting the prominent role played by the board of directors and honorary members to further improve the quality of services provided by the club.

On his part, Shaikh Abdulla highlighted the significant role played by Shaikh Salman in the development of Bahraini sports.

Shaikh Abdulla Sport said the Bahrain sports has seen a quantum leap ever since since Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa took over the presidency of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, as well as the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Shaikh Abdulla also noted the roles of first-vice chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Shaikh Salman, who is also president of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA).

The Riffa Club president also praised the attention given by Shaikh Salman to national teams and clubs alike, stressing the great support received by Riffa Club from sports officials in the kingdom.
