MANAMA: A request by Al Wefaq to hold a rally in Tubli today has been rejected, Public Security Chief Major General Tariq Al Hassan said last night.

A gathering at such a vital location would hinder traffic and endanger people and their property, he said adding that those who take part in the planned rally would be breaking the law.

Al Wefaq had submitted the request to the Capital Governorate police station.
