GULF Air has been awarded the title of the Best Family Friendly Airline alongside seven top global carriers by US News Travel.

The publication's latest study of international airlines found that it offered the best family friendly experience for passengers travelling with their children, especially on long-haul journeys.

Emirates, British Airways, Lufthansa, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines were also included in the study.

The publication mentions Gulf Air's Sky Nanny service as one of the highlights of its family friendly aspects that not only takes care of children on the ground and in the air, but also lets parents enjoy a stress-free flight while the nannies look after the younger ones.

Gulf Air chief services officer Marcus Bernhardt said the award was a clear demonstration of the success of its family friendly brand.
