PATIENTS seeking treatment at King Hamad University Hospital, Muharraq, must be referred by their nearest local health centre, the hospital's commander Major-General Dr Shaikh Salman bin Ateyatala Al Khalifa announced yesterday. However, he added emergency cases could show up at the hospital between 7am and 7pm - except for those involved in road accidents who arrive by ambulance.

He also said patients could see doctors during the evening in private practice clinics after booking appointments in advance.

100 set to tie the knot

MORE than 100 young Bahrainis will tie the knot today at Shaikhan Al Farsi Hall, Riffa.

The mass wedding is being held under the patronage of parliament chairman Khalifa Al Dhahrani and sponsored by the UAE's Ali and Sons Group chairman Ali bin Khalfan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri.
